When newspapers print front page shootings and robberies,does this contribute to crime?

Many newspapers put bloody shooting or robbery headlines on the front page and then leave law abiding citizens defending themselves with firearms to a page thirty footnote,don,t they realize that at the expense of selling papers at the cost of citizens lives due to the fact that most criminals and addicts never read or see anything other than a front page that they constantly see the message this town has drugs stop here but bring a gun or easy town to get rich in come rob us because all they see is part truths and never or very rarely buy and or even open a newspaper to page twenty something,more naive pretzel logic costs lives.
