Two Hundred Years from now, will the Palestinian People be a footnote in history?

I'm an American born in the 1980s. My parents never heard of the Palestinian People until 1972, when PLO terrorists murdered 12 innocent people during the Munich Olympics. I think because the world was watching that that was the precise moment the myth of the Palestinian People was born. If Israel expels these Arab invaders within the next three decade (very likely), how soon will the world forget about these people?
