Why would a guy be interested in what my dream is?

this guy i have been going on dates with for 3 weeks asked me what my dream is? he said not relating to Jobs but overall what my dream is? i told him to live on the beach and he said he wants to live in the bahamas. funny :) he just smiled. i really like this guy. why would he be interested in knowing that?
