Please help with footnotes/end notes?

I need your assistance. You know on Word, I'm trying to do that thing where you have numbers at the end of a bit of text which at the bottom of your work corresponds to the source that you got the info from (end note?) I'm trying to do that, but I have stuff from the same source, say, source 1, but if I type in a new end note it makes it a 2, but it's still source 1! I don't know if I make any sense at all, but thank you!
